Frank has a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University. He has been a solicitor for over 29 years. Frank’s major areas of legal practice are in commercial litigation and commercial law.
In the area of commercial litigation Frank has extensive experience in contractual disputes, insolvency law, employment law, property and building and construction law.
In the area of commercial law Frank has extensive experience in corporate advisory work and transactional work. Frank’s commercial law practice has an emphasis in business law advisory work for SMEs, and in particular franchised businesses.
McMahon Fearnley Lawyers Pty Ltd is a member of the Franchising Council of Australia and Frank is a former committee member of the Victorian Chapter of the Association. This membership and association have provided and continue to provide Frank with the opportunities to act for franchisors and franchisees, and be involved in the Franchising industry.
Frank has also extensive experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution, in particular settlement of disputes by informal mediation prior to the commencement of litigation. Frank leads the McMahon Fearnley Lawyers Pty Ltd Alternative Dispute Resolution Service.
Frank is a member of various professional, and business associations including the Insolvency Practitioner’s Association of Australia, Councillor and member of the Australian Institute of Credit Management and LEADR, (Lawyers Engaged in Alternative Dispute Resolution).
