Peter Hurley

Peter is a member of the Commercial Law practice group.

Peter’s practice covers most aspects of commercial and not-for-profit law. He acts for a variety of small businesses and substantial not-for-profit clients with commercial activities.

He is skilled in dealing with the matters in the following areas

  • Business sale and acquisition transactions, including structural and tax advice;
  • Charity & not-for-profit law;
  • School law;
  • Trust, Partnership & Corporations law;
  • Intellectual property, including trade mark and copyright;
  • Heath and aged care law;
  • Property development and planning law;
  • Commercial leasing and property transactions;
  • Franchising.

Peter joined McMahon Fearnley Lawyers Pty Ltd as a first-year solicitor.  Since then he has had a broad commercial practice, which has included the areas of his current practice listed above, as well as experience in general and commercial litigation, wills and estates and employment law.

Peter graduated with combined Bachelor degrees in Laws and Commerce from Melbourne University. He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and its Commercial Law Section.
